01/05/26 Initial project created for SoloDevelopment #10 - New Year Jam!
02/09/26 Updated for SoloDev Marathon Jam #5
--
All assets (music and art) are by me EXCEPT for the following:
art:
grass tiles: Sprout Lands -By : Cup Nooble
sfx:
coin jangle by AlexZavesa from Pixabay
screaming man by Lola Joy from Pixabay
All art was made during the game jam, and the music track comes from a different game I was working on earlier this year that I decided was too wild for me to mix fully and put on spotify. It's honestly just a placeholder until I compose real music for this.

02/09/26 description (submission to SoloDevelopment Marathon Jam #5)
these should probably be devlogs...
Much progress made in this month in terms of learning coding and making this game I want it to be, but I did not meet many goals I wanted to... would like to refine the sfx, art, and ui as well as the boss 1 behavior before i move on to the next boss. so maybe this is next month... hopefully i can find another jam to submit to to motivate me to continue practicing!!

01/05/26 description
Full disclosure: I am very rudimentary with programming and followed this tutorial by Coding with Russ pretty much to a tee since I'm pretty unfamiliar with the engine and wanted to learn about basic development in this jam. Here is the link to the tutorial series:
I plan to enter this into the month-long jam and implement some of my own original features and remove some concepts I don't like, which include:
gameplay:
- levels that incorporate waves (I either want to incorporate waves into levels with a boss at the end, or just dissolve the waves entirely)
- bosses (as said above)
- health bar instead of lives
- varying enemies with scaling difficulties (and maybe don't die immediately!_
- MAKE GAME HARDER
- introduce gold hoard to defend as well as yourself
- additional items
misc other:
- sound effects
- remodeling some existing assets (music, sprites)
- create my own tileset
- title screen
- cover art (instead of just a screenshot)
- use dialogic to do some before-level cutscenes with bosses (I love making art panels)
If there are any (simple) other suggestions for me to work on throughout the month let me know! I want to learn as much as I can from working on this (despite this likely being pretty basic compared to everyone else's cool stuff!)

Dude do wana collab i use godot and i was looking for a collab
I'm not really looking for a collab right now but it honestly depends on what it is! I could probably help with a small project if you need art/music (that's mainly what I do, I'm pretty basic at programming), but I have a bit of a limited schedule currently. If you email 2tunkl2flunkl@gmail.com I can give my discord to you and we can talk more there and see if a collab would work for both of us :)
