Bowser has been invited to one of Mario's fabulous parties at Luigi's Mansion! Surely nothing could go wrong--certainly no circumstances involving untimely deaths, amateur sleuthing, and annoying sidekicks on phone calls!

Created by Charlotte York, Ethan Garcia, and Ava Aloi for the Stony Brook University Annual Ren'Py Competition (2024, Theme = "Real Nintendo Drama"), winning 2nd Place.

The in-browser player is a little funky with art assets, so if you would like to play the game through the RenPy Launcher as intended, follow the download instructions below.

Install instructions

IF DOWNLOADING (NOT PLAYING THROUGH BROWSER):

Mac: Unzip the file and play the application.

PC: Unzip the file and launch the executable (.exe) file.

Secure download instructions (using the Ren'Py launcher):

1. Follow the instructions here to download and extract the renpy.exe application https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/quickstart.html

2. Download and unzip the game file. There should just be a normal folder with game file name in there.

3. Once you have the Ren'Py launcher installed and set up and you have the game folder unzipped, you will need to create a folder on your computer that acts as the directory for the launcher to launch projects from. Then, put the game in that folder, click Preferences on the Ren'Py launcher, and there should be a setting called Projects Directory. Click on that and route it to your folder.

4. Go back to the main menu on the launcher, click refresh, and launch the project!
